A Modern Traditional Micro-Wedding at The Vessel

The Vessel is a monumental New York attraction that you cannot take your eyes off of. It’s labyrinth of stairs and copper honeycomb shaped structure can easily steal the show. Because of this, we choose modern traditional wedding looks that didn’t try to compete for attention. That tasteful minimalism allowed the gorgeous building to add interest to the photographs below instead of soaking it all up.

A Fresh and Romantic Engagement Picnic at Central Park

This would not be a New York editorial wedding series without a stop in Central Park. In contrast to the sharp features you’ll find throughout the other two events, this picnic engagement shoot was full of organic and romantic details. Even the iconic NYC buildings in the background appeared softer through the golden hour haze, as this couple enjoyed a quiet boat ride and a picnic for two.

A Sleek Bridal Look With Organic Touches at The Oculus

The Oculus at the World Trade Center is a futuristic building made of white metal and glass. We continued the innovative theme with a sleek and modernistic gown. We also embraced contrast – in the colors, the shadows, and the unexpected organic details against the cold atmosphere. It was the addition of flowers in the bride’s hair, and bold eye makeup, with blues and purples that softened this look just enough.
